Findings that survive scrutiny

An investigation is only worth what it can withstand. We acquire evidence to a documented standard, analyze it with methods we can explain on the record, and write findings that hold up in front of counsel, a regulator, or a court. If the evidence does not support a conclusion, we say so.

01 Casework

The cases we take

Different matters need different handling. What stays constant is the standard the evidence is held to, whether the audience is your board or opposing counsel.

C-01

Incident & Breach Investigation

What happened, how they got in, what they reached, and whether they are still there. Scoped to answer the questions your notification obligations will ask.

  • Root cause and initial access determination
  • Lateral movement and dwell time reconstruction
  • Data access and exfiltration assessment
  • Containment support alongside your responders
C-02

Insider & Employment Matters

Departing employee data theft, policy violations, and misuse investigations, handled discreetly and proportionately. These cases are as much about restraint as about capability.

  • Data exfiltration to personal accounts and devices
  • Intellectual property misappropriation
  • Acceptable use and policy violation review
  • Findings written for HR and legal audiences
C-03

Litigation Support

Working under counsel direction on civil and criminal matters. Defensible collection, analysis that anticipates the other side, and reporting that reads cleanly under cross examination.

  • Forensically sound collection and preservation
  • Timeline and artifact analysis
  • Rebuttal review of opposing expert findings
  • Declarations, reports, and expert testimony
C-04

Private & Individual Matters

Device compromise, stalkerware, account takeover, and harassment cases for individuals. Handled confidentially, with plain language about what we found and what your options are.

  • Personal device and account examination
  • Surveillance and stalkerware detection
  • Evidence packaging for law enforcement
  • Remediation guidance after the finding

02 Method

Five stages, documented throughout

Every stage produces a record. If someone asks two years from now how a conclusion was reached, the answer is in the case file, not in someone's memory.

  1. 01

    Preserve

Legal hold support and immediate preservation, before evidence ages out of logs or gets overwritten by normal operations.

  2. 02

    Acquire

Forensic images and logical collections with verified hashes, taken in an order that captures volatile data before it is lost.

  3. 03

    Analyze

Working copies only. Timeline reconstruction, artifact analysis, and correlation across sources, with each finding tied to its evidence.

  4. 04

    Report

Written for the audience that needs it: an executive summary that a board can act on, and a technical section an opposing expert can check.

  5. 05

    Testify

Where a matter goes that far, our examiners explain their methods and conclusions on the record and stand behind them.

03 Standards

How evidence is handled

The unglamorous part of forensics, and the part that decides whether the work is usable. It runs on the same evidence store as the Cyber Operations Toolkit.

Chain of custody

Every transfer, access, and action logged with time, examiner, and purpose. The log is produced with the report, not on request.

Integrity verification

Cryptographic hashes recorded at acquisition and re-verified before analysis and again before delivery.

Reproducibility

Tools, versions, and parameters documented so another qualified examiner can repeat the work and reach the same result.
